June 25th, 2025 is the release date for the long awaited Brad Pitt F1 movie. The trailer which previewed at the 2025 Super bowl has whet the appetite for the release of the Lewis Hamilton co-produced movie. The realistic race scenes have been complimented by footage shot during Formula 1 race weekends featuring F1 drivers including Carlos Sainz (right no55, with Brad Pitt).
The car driven by Brad Pitt (who plays Sonny Hayes) in the film is based on a Formula 2 car owned by the fictional Apex Grand Prix F1 team.
Co-producer Lewis Hamilton assisted in making the movie and race scenes as realistic as possible. The Apple Original Pictures production has been made in co-operation with F1 bosses, the film rights are owned by Warner Bros.
Fans of F1 will recognise their favourite drivers from scenes shot at various F1 race venues around the world.
